Day 12 - Mastering Buttons

Today was a pretty good day. I'm still doing really well with my eating habits - the change is going just the way I wanted (easy! lol). I admit - I haven't weighed in a few days. I don't have the courage to get on the scale and see I'm the same, or worse - heavier. I figure if I'm not eating the way I was, that has to be a good thing.

We had an oddly cold day today. Me & Liam just about froze as we walked to get Connor from school. A neighbor I met (because of my daily walks) offered to give us a ride there, but I politely declined. However, we saw her again as we were about to leave, and she again offered - and I took her up on it. I was hesitant to pass up a good walk back (exercise and all that) but I really like her and thought to get better acquainted. We have a tentative play date this weekend, so hopefully I have finally made a friend in this hell hole :)

Today's photo was a sweet little moment. Liam chose a button up shirt to wear, and unbeknownst to me - he buttoned the whole thing by himself. He had one more button to get (which I also got photos of). And when he FINALLY got it - he looked up with this expression, full of wonder & excitement, yell "I did it!" lol

Oh - one more thing. Someone over at Sweet Shoppe told us a cute story about a conversation with her little one about what mommy does all day. After reading it - I was curious what Liam would say. Here is the conversation:

Sitting on my lap, Liam & I have a little chat:
Me: What does daddy do during the day?
Liam: Working on the wind turbines.
Me: What does mommy do?
Liam: Working.
Me: Doing what?
Liam: Cleaning. And washing. And cleaning.
Me: Anything else?
Liam: Cleaning all the rooms. And my room.
Me: Anything else?
Liam: Washing the dishes.
Me: Is that it?
Liam: You do that (he points to my computer).
Me: Oh I do that, huh? (I'm laughing)
Liam: He stands up on my lap, and yells - You do everything!!!

Oh yeah! That's my boy!! LOL. And with that, I'm calling it a night! See you tomorrow!!
