Before I begin - I'd love to ask for your help!! I am trying to get a really good list of stuff to do before I die (ie: my bucket list). I was hoping to get a good, heavy list of around 100. But I'm stuck at like 40 or so, lol. I need inspiration, so please - if you do Pinterest, please share your bucket list with me ((either here in a comment or back with me on Facebook)) - I'd LOVE to see what other people have come up with (and maybe snag a couple for my own list, lol)
Okay - back to my post :)
I started a bucket list a couple years ago. I thought for sure I'd have a crap load of stuff that I wanted to do, but when I barely hit 25 things, I was a little bummed at my lack of motivation (or whatever you call not wanting to do much, lol). I will be honest - I went with realistic things that I could actually do. Nothing weird like ... discover a new planet or slingshot around the sun (which is a Star Trek thing, if you didn't know, lol).
Well, my list grew (slowly) and I recently decided to add it to Pinterest. I love the idea of having a visual reference for it! AND - I even found out how I'd go about doing some of them (one of them being photograph the moving night sky. I've always wanted to do this, and just looking for photos brought me to numerous pages of tips & tricks for getting a good shot!)
So my photo today is my ever growing bucket list. I've found a few more things from other Pinterest peoples who have pinned my things. And I'm really excited at my list and the potential it holds! I've done a few things on it already - I can't wait to do more!!
And just in case you wanted to take a peek -- here is my bucket list on Pinterest: Clickity-Clicky-Click
Real quick - I scrapped again! I'm doing a monthly scrap challenge with Sweet Shoppe Designs, and I'm really hoping to finally finish one and get the 40% off coupon! So I browsed the challenges and decided to do this one. I got this kick ass idea to use my desk as inspiration and use the layout of it for photo placement.
Here's a good shot of my desk (like I'd show the current state of my tornado visited mess of a desk, lol):
And then here is the layout I came up with. I found some inspiring photos of my home state, and that made me want to do a little scrap therapy and work through some of my homesickness-ness :)
I'm really happy how it turned out. I never EVER go template free. And even though I had the photo placement for a guide - I suck at what to do next, lol. I never know where to stick elements - or extra papers or ANYTHING. So, I'm really happy how it all turned out :)
That's all for tonight! See you tomorrow!!!
XOXO! ~Jen :)

I love your idea of using Pinterest for creating a bucket list! I'll share a link with you of mine once I get one going ;) Personally just off the top of my head I know I'll want to include places to visit, books to read (like classics), difficult dishes to cook, crafting techniques to try, attempt snowboarding and scuba-diving, get a photo or scrap-project published in a magazine... Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis is great!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that your bucket list is on pinterest...what a great idea!
And the layout is wonderful! I usually use templates, too, and I'm always so proud of myself when I create a layout without them.
